SCMTR CSN IMPORT & EXPORT File Generation

Basic Settings:

The SCMTR (Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment) CSN (Consignment) IMPORT file contains key data points for the electronic filing of import manifests. Here's a list of the mandatory settings:

Authorized Person (authPrsn)

The Authorized Person is the individual or entity who has been officially empowered by the carrier or agent to submit the electronic manifest. This could be a specific person within the company, a customs broker, or another representative legally authorized to act on behalf of the principal.

Authorized Representative Code (authReprsntvCd)

The Authorized Representative Code is a unique identifier assigned by customs authorities to the authorized representative (customs broker) who is responsible for the clearance of the cargo. This code helps the system link the manifest submission to the correct party handling the customs procedures. It ensures accountability and proper tracking of who is legally responsible for the documentation.

Sender ID (senderID)

The Sender ID is a unique identifier for the entity (e.g., shipping line, consolidator) that is electronically transmitting the manifest data to the customs system. This ID is used for authentication and to ensure that the data is coming from a registered and recognized source.

Consolidator PAN (consolidatorPan)

The Consolidator PAN refers to the Permanent Account Number (PAN) of the entity that has consolidated multiple smaller shipments (Less than Container Load - LCL) into a single container. This field is essential for customs to identify the consolidator and track their specific shipments for tax and compliance purposes.

Container Agent Code (cntrAgntCd)

The Container Agent Code is a unique code assigned to the agent who is managing the container at the port of discharge. This agent, often a stevedoring company or a specific port terminal operator, is responsible for the physical handling, storage, and movement of the container within the port premises.
